LINGAYEN, Pangasinan, March 24 (PNA) — A new scholarship program in Pangasinan called Gintong Binhi ng Karunungan (Golden Seeds of Knowledge) will soon provide for college scholarship of 10 poor but deserving students.
During their regular session today, the Pangasinan provincial board approved Provincial Resolution No. 501-2014, which authorizes Governor Amado Espino Jr., to enter into a memorandum of agreement with Team Sual Corporation, Department of Education-Pangasinan I and II, Colegio De Dagupan, and Pangasinan State University for the implementation of the Gintong Binhi ng Karunungan scholarship program.
Authored by Board Member Ranjit Shahani, the resolution said that the scholarship program is designed to finance the education of five deserving high school graduates from the province for each of school year 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 in a five-year engineering course or a three-year ladderized technology course at Colegio De Dagupan and Pangasinan State University.
The scholarship program is a partnership program among all the stakeholders.
Geared at extending help to aspiring engineers and technical engineers in the province, the scholarship program was conceptualized by Team Sual Corporation under its various corporate social responsibility programs. (PNA)
