Caraga all set for launch of PhilHealth, DOH “ALAGA KA” program

Butuan City, March 21 (PNA) — The Caraga region is all set for the launching of the “Alamin At Gamitin ” (ALAGA),a regional conduct of the nationwide event dubbed as “ALAGA KA Para Sa Maayos Na Buhay” to be spearheaded by the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), the Department of Health (DOH) and other stakeholders.

In an “Media Forum” held at the Leader’s Hall, 4th Floor Caraga CHD-DOH office attended by DOH XIII and PhilHealth XIII officers and personnel led by DOH XIII chief Dr. Minerva P. Molon and PHIC RO XIII Regional Vice President Johnny Y. Sychua and the local media practitioners of this city, it was announced that about 3,000 individuals coming from Butuan City and the municipalities of Agusan del Norte will converge at the Agusan del Norte Capitol covered court to participate during the launching activity on Monday (March 24).

The activity will include PhilHealth Membership Services, particularly informing ALAGA KA families of their PhilHealth benefits, validation of new ALAGA members enrolled through Point of Care Program, testimonials from the members and other stakeholders, audio visual presentations on Kalusugang Pangkalahatan (KP), medical consultations and information dissemination of different health programs, said SVP Sychua.

ALAGA, according to DOH 13 chief Dr. Molon, is a campaign strategy that aims to better disseminate appropriate information regarding rights and privileges under the present KP PhilHealth members, especially the qualified dependents of indigent, sponsored program and organized groups.(PNA)
