MANILA, March 22 (PNA) — A leading information technology services provider has developed an online job portal that would provide assistance for jobseekers to gain employment in the business process outsourcing (BPO) industry.

The BPO Career Hub aims to help companies hire employees and provide applicants information on jobs available in the BPO industry.

Among its features include career assessment test that would determine the suitability of the applicants for employment in the industry, English language lessons and career guidance for jobseekers through online videos.

“Our mission is to reach, teach and hire. We intend to reach out to professional markets and fresh graduates to further expand the growth of the BPO industry. We would like to have virtual job fairs, virtual trainings and other virtual solutions that will provide people with skills and knowledge to be employed in the industry,” TeleDevelopment Services Inc (TDS) President Jon Kaplan stated in a press briefing held at the Fairmont Hotel in Makati City Friday night.

Meanwhile, Jack Frecker, TDS Chairman, stressed that the Philippines must boost its human resources as it seeks to bolster its reputation as a leading outsourcing industry in the world.

“We aim to leverage the Philippines as a leading back office operations center in the world through more skilled jobs,” he said.

He also stated that the company intends to further enhance its services to help improve the operations and sustain the profitability of BPO companies in the country and the world.

Among the innovations offered by the company include signature training programs, specialized staffing, management recruitment, automated English skills assessment tools, managed solutions, consulting, among others.

Its country division TDS Philippines has played crucial roles in assisting high profile BPO and call center companies such as Teleperformance, Accenture, Automatic Data Processing (ADP), Transcom, Convey Health Solutions and Hinduja Global Solutions.

TDS Philippines was established in 2004 when TDS President Kaplan decided to set up operations in Ortigas City after providing BPO services to the country since 1999.

TDS has rebranded its corporate identity and will now be operating under its new name TDS Global Solutions as it aims to put greater focus on both voice and nonvoice business process management and expand its services in America, Europe and Asia.

TDS has supported over 450 companies globally since it was established in 1991. (PNA)
