EDSA…

Ano nga ba ang meron sa EDSA
Na sa tuwing may hinanakit ang masa
Dito agad pumupunta at nagproprotesta
Humihingi ng panibagong simula

Eto nga ba ang tunay na diwa ng EDSA
Ang mamulat ang masa sa katiwalian sa politika
Daanin sa mapayapang pagmamartsa
Upang makamtam tunay na demokrasya

Ngunit iba na ang EDSA sa kasalukuyang pakikibaka
Di na gaya ng dati nag-alsa para patalsikin ang diktadurya
Mahirap at mayaman nagkaisa sa iisang paniniwala
Supilin ang kalupitan sa isang paraang mapayapa.

Sa ngayon wala na akong nakikitang tunay na pakikibaka
Sa daang kung tawagin ay EDSA
Dahil gamit na lamang ang masa at politika
Na lalo lang nagpapalubog sa ekonomiya ng bansa.

Sana hayaan na lang natin ang EDSA
Maging daan ng mga mamamayan patungo sa pag-unlad ng bansa
Hindi ang pag-aalsa para patalsikin ang isang namamahala
Gamit ang mga politikong sanhi rin ng maling pamamahala.

Sa wari ko di na mauulit ang unang EDSA
Dahil sawa na ang mamamayan sa maling akala
Nakamtan na ang tunay na paglaya
Pilipino na lang ang walang pagbabago at disiplina.

Masakit man tanggapin pero eto ang aking paniniwala
Na ayaw magbago sa tamang sistema
Konting kamalian nagmamartsa na sa EDSA
Kaya ang pangkaraniwang Pilipino sila pa rin ang biktima.

Kagagawan lang ito ng mga politikong wala na sa pwesto
Na mas masahol pa ang pamamahala nung sila’y nasa gobyerno
Kaya lahat ng sisi sa kasalukuyang pangulo
Gagawin ang lahat malinlang lang ang kapwa Pilipino.

Sana minsan sa EDSA ako ay madaan
Makita ang mga taong naging bahagi ng kasaysayan
Nagkakaisa sa paniniwala at may pagkakunawaan
Kapit bisig sa mapayapang paraan tungo sa tunay na kalayaan!
