TACLOBAN CITY, March 11 (PNA) -– The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) is eyeing to have early warning systems that were destroyed by super typhoon Yolanda functional before end of March.
This was the commitment of Secretary Montejo to President Benigno S. Aquino III, said DOST regional director Edgardo Esperancilla as he disclosed that replacements for damaged early warning systems in Eastern Visayas have already arrived.
These include replacement of damaged automatic weather station (AWS), automatic rain gauges (ARGs) and water level sensors.
