Century Properties to launch mixed-use project in Pampanga soon

Posted on March 9, 2014

By Leslie D. Venzon

MANILA, March 9 (PNA) — Listed real estate firm Century Properties Group Inc. (CPGI) is ready to launch its first mixed-use project outside Metro Manila at its acquired eight-hectare property in San Fernando, Pampanga.

“We are master planning right now several large exciting projects. But the nearest to be launched will probably be our project in Pampanga which is a mixed-use development,” Century Properties co-chief operating officer Jose Marco Antonio told reporters.

Antonio said the project will have residential, hotel, retail and commercial components.

He said the residential component is targeted for end users from the middle-income market segment.

Century Properties earlier estimated a sales value of P6 billion from the residential portfolio.

“The mall there will be definitely geared towards locals…What we wanted to do there is ‘differentiated retail’ because we also don’t want to deliver the same types of products (offered by other malls),” Antonio said.

He said the company will build a more upscale lifestyle mall with businesses offering new concepts or the “first in the Philippines” type of establishments.

Apart from this mixed-use project in Pampanga, Antonio said they are keen to expand presence in other regions.

“So far, we are studying the like of Cebu and other (regions that) have a lot of potentials,” he added. “A lot of our future projects definitely will be mixed-use in nature.”

Century Properties Group is a forerunner of premium real estate developments in the Philippines. Since it was founded 28 years ago, Century Properties has transformed 744,576 square meters of space into premier residential and office developments in and outside Metro Manila. (PNA)
