BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, March 4 (PNA) — Several local government units here on Monday received their share of the provincial government’s Municipal Development Assistance Fund (MDAF).
P1 million each was given to the local governments of Ambaguio, Dupax del Sur, Villaverde, Solano and Aritao covering the year 2013 while P2 million MDAF was given to the LGU of Kasibu, covering the years 2012 and 2013.
The MDAF is being given to the municipalities here in order to augment their meager funds which result in the implementation of high impact programs and projects in their respective communities.
“Regardless of party affiliations, you can be assured of our MDAF support for our local government units so that they can do necessary projects for our constituents,” Governor Ruth Padilla said.
She also said that the MDAF for 2014 will be increased to P1.5 million each for the 15 local government units while the P40,000 Barangay Development Assistance Fund (BDAF) each for the 275 barangays of the province will be increased to P50,000.00 starting this year. (PNA)
