MANILA, Feb. 27 (PNA) — Expect heavy traffic this weekend in some portions of Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) in the cities of Quezon, Caloocan and Mandaluyong.
This, according to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), is due to the road repairs and re-blocking to be conducted by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
The MMDA said road reblocking works will be conducted starting Friday (Feb. 28) at 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. of Monday (March 3).
In its advisory, the MMDA said DPWH will undertake road reblocking and repairs on the following areas:
— Along EDSA between Magsaysay Street and New York Street (1st Lane, Southbound), Quezon City;
— Along EDSA between Pantaleon Street and Mayon Street (Southbound, Outer Lane), Mandaluyong City; and
— Along EDSA between Don Ang Street and Evangelista Street / Arellano Street and Concepcion Street (Northbound, Lane 1), Caloocan City.
To avoid traffic delays, the MMDA advised motorists to use alternate routes.
It added that all roads will be fully passable by Monday morning. (PNA)
