BAYOMBONG, NUEVA VIZCAYA, Jan. 29 (PNA) –In a bid to bring the services of the local as well as national governments closer to the villages, the provincial government will spearhead a regular outreach activity called “Capitol on Wheels”(COW) in the 15 municipalities of the province.
The one-stop-shop activity will deliver various services of the provincial capitol agencies to the 15 municipalities of the province ranging from health(medical, dental), tax payment, veterinary and agricultural and legal services, among others.
“We will schedule days for the Capitol on Wheels activity in each municipality so that we can roll out our services needed by our constituents especially those in far-flung areas,” said Governor Ruth Padilla.
She said officials or key persons of local and national government agencies will be brought to the targeted municipalities to explain their services to Novo Vizcayanos.
Through the COW, Padilla said the public will know better and proper the services and plans of both the local and national government for the province.
“This show and exchange of information will help our people truly understand what we are really doing for them. This will make them empowered in the face of misinformation by our critics,” she said.
Local officials and civic organizations, Padilla said will also be part of the COW’s consultation component to harmonize the resources of both the local government units and the national government and to further blend their programs and services into a high impact projects and programs, thereby maximizing its benefits for Novo Vizcayanos.
