TEHRAN, Jan. 22 (PNA/IRNA) –Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Barack Obama discussed the agenda of the international conference on Syria to open in Montreux on January 22, in a phone talk Tuesday night, the Kremlin press service reported.
Presidents Putin and Obama also touched upon a number of other issues of mutual interest, including the implementation of the November 24, 2013 nuclear deal on settling dispute over the Iranian nuclear program.
The two leaders meanwhile “exchanged viewpoints on further development of the Russian-US relationship, with the emphasis placed on trade and economic cooperation,” the Kremlin statement said.
“The conversation was businesslike and in a constructive manner,” it said. (PNA/IRNA)
