MANILA, Nov. 20 (PNA) — The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) on Wednesday announced that it has set up a hotline which residents in areas affected by super typhoon Yolanda that were not yet reached by relief distribution can air their complaints.
According to DSWD Secretary Corazon J. Soliman, the affected people who want to complain that they have not received any relief goods may send their messages to the number – 09209463766.
Secretary Soliman said that the text should include adequate details of the complainant/recipient’s location.
“The citizens should include in their report the specific area of concern, including details such as the province/ town/barangay,” Soliman said.
She added that the department could not properly respond and verify the help they needed if they (complainant needing assistance) merely text “nagugutom kami” (we are hungry).(PNA)
