NAIROBI, (PNA/Xinhua) –Kenya’s prosecutors are due to arraign four key suspects in court on Monday in connection with the deadly terror attack on the Westgate shopping mall in the capital Nairobi.
Police sources told Xinhua that the four are already in the court cells ready to face terrorism-related charges, including the killing of at least 67 people and the injuring of more than 170 others on Sept. 21.
Al-Shabaab militants claimed responsibility for the attack in which four terrorists were also killed.
However, the exact number of terrorists who were involved in the attack is not clear.
The authorities could not however divulge the identities of the suspects, saying their names will be revealed later.
Director of Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Ndegwa Muhoro told journalists last week that they will also issue a global warrant of arrest to two other suspects linked to the Westgate attack.
Muhoro named one of the suspects as 23-year-old Somalia-born Norwegian national, Hassan Abdi Dhuhulow, saying Norwegian security officials were in Nairobi to establish if Dhuhulow had participated in the attack.
