CAMP GEN. SIMEON A. OLA, Legazpi City, (PNA) — An Indian national died when the car he was riding hit an electrical post of the Camarines Sur Electric Cooperative early Monday morning along Maharlika Highway in Zone 4, Barangay Cadlan, Pili, Camarines Sur.
A police report identified the victim as Paraminder Singh, 28, single and resident of Burgos St., Goa, Camarines Sur.
The report said Singh was driving his Suzuki sedan at about 12:15 a.m. along the Maharlika Highway when he lost control of the vehicle that hit the electric post, causing the car to overturn and hit a store owned by Antonio Pato.
The speed of the car and the heavy impact of the crash caused the post to topple down across the road.
Residents of the area immediately responded and brought Singh to the Bicol Medical Center but the victim did not reach the hospital alive.
