DTI issues monitored prices of flowers in Dangwa

MANILA, (PNA) – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has issued prices of flowers after monitoring the flower capital of Manila, Dangwa, in observance of ‘All Saint’s and All Souls Day’ celebration on Nov. 1 – 2.

Most of the prices of flowers this year went down compared to 2012’s prices.

According to the retail price monitoring of DTI-Consumer Welfare and Business Regulation Group (CWBRG) as of Tuesday, a dozen of Anthurium is pegged at P500; Astomeria at P60 per dozen; Asturia at P100 per 6 stems; Green Buttons Mums at P130 per dozen; Carnation at P170 to P180 per 10 stems; Chrysanthemum at P150 per dozen; Gerbera at P200 to P250 per dozen; Gladula at P150 per half a dozen; Jaguar at P150 per dozen; Malaysian Mums at P120 to P140 per dozen; Roses at P150 to P250 per dozen; Statis at P100 per dozen; Snap Dragon at P180 to P250 per dozen; and Star Gazer at P150 to P180 per stem.

Meanwhile, flower arrangement is priced at P100 for pot arrangement; P400 for topiony or with stem; and basket arrangement is at P350 as of October 29.

However, the department noted that prices might increase up to P50.

”Per store owner, prices of flowers will increase depending on the demand and supply,” DTI-CWBRG added.
