SM City Calamba stages “Happy Halloween” costume tilt for shoppers, mallers

CALAMBA CITY, Laguna (PNA) –- The SM City Calamba mall here has announced Wednesday its competition for the Halloween competition among shoppers and mallers on Oct. 31 from 1 to 5 p.m. at its Atrium Events Center.

SM promo organizers said the registration continues until Oct. 31 before the event proper from 10 a.m. to noon at the Halloween booth in the mall’s atrium event center.

Registrants and contenders may register with the organizers in the booth by presenting their P 1,000 single accumulated receipts of purchase in any of the tenant stores and shops within the promo period from Oct 19 to 31 of the SM mall.

Contestants may join only one of the following categories: Cutest Costume; Most Enchanting Princess or Fairy; Spookiest Costume and the Wackiest Costume.

The participants are requested to be in full costume upon entrance for the competition at the Mall Atrium event starting 1 p.m.

Criteria for the Halloween costume competition include: visual impact – 30 percent; creativity – 30 percent; adherence to theme – 20 percent and stage presence – 20 percent.

Prizes at stake are P3,000 SM shopping money for the 1st Prize; P2,000 SM shopping money for 2nd Prize and P1,000 SM shopping Money for the 3rd Prize.

The shopping money prizes are not convertible to cash but are transferable at the winners’ prerogative.

SM event organizers said a Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) representative is invited to facilitate and supervisxe the competition and the promo organizers’ decision is deemed final with the concurrence by the DTI representative.
