DAGUPAN CITY, (PNA) — The city government formed the Public Assistance and Response Management Assistance Center (PARMC) which can respond to any request for assistance from the public 24/7.
Mayor Belen Fernandez tapped retired SPO4 Carlito Ocampo to head PARMC which any one from Dagupan may call whenever they need immediate help.
Three offices namely Public Order and Safety Office (POSO), the City Disaster Risk-Reduction Management Council (CDRRMC) and the Anti-Littering Squad were placed under the umbrella PARMC.
The PARMC is linked with the other agencies of the government such as Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine Navy and others for better coordination purposes.
Ocampo, whose appointment will take effect on November 12, was an old hand in the police, having worked there for 26 long years till he opted for early retirement in 2006.
“I will exhaust all the experiences I had in the past as a police officer. I will endeavor to address all problems referred to me. What is needed, though, is cooperation among all of us in the city government,” Ocampo said.
