BUTUAN CITY, (PNA) — Heavy rains which hit the city on Tuesday caused part of the city to be powerless for half a day.
According to the public advisory from the Agusan del Norte Electric Cooperative (ANECO) sent to the various media outlets here, the unplanned power interruption affected Brgys. Libertad and Ambago substation serving west of Butuan City was caused by an anchor failure which was uprooted, and has caused the 69KV pole to lean and touch the KV line.
This happened according to ANECO due to Tuesday’s heavy rains which softened the land where the anchor was situated.
The power utility firm said that restoration works will be completed by noontime Wednesday.
