BUTUAN CITY, (PNA) — A network of consumers spearheaded a forum on power and water Wednesday fpr tjhe [rprotection and welfare of consumers in this city and Caraga region.
The ConsumerNet-Caraga (CNet) conducted the forum at Luciana Convention Center on J. Rosales Ave., this city.
ConsumerNet is a network of national government agencies and utility firms working together for the welfare and protection of the consumers in the region. It also aims to inform the general public through forum on the latest updates and the current status of the water and power supply in Butuan City and the whole province of Agusan del Norte.
Representatives from the Butuan City Water District (BCWD) as well as from the Agusan del Norte Electric Cooperative presented the said updates. Joining the forum were the officers and members of the Butuanon Kunsumador and the Cabadbaran Civil Society Organization Network, consumer organizations based in Butuan City and the city of Cabadbaran..
Other sectoral representatives such as the senior citizens, academe, media as well as the representatives from ConsumerNet-Caraga member agencies participated in the forum, which is part of the celebration of the Consumer Welfare Month in the region.
