MANILA, (PNA) — Several issues like alleged ballot snatching and vote buying marred Monday’s village elections but power supply is not an issue since last Sunday.
The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), on Tuesday, said its 2013 Power Task Force Election (PTFE) did not monitor any major outages during the three-day period.
“During the three days of the task force’s operation, the transmission grid did not encounter any major system disturbance,” it said in a statement.
The task force, which was activated 6am last Sunday, was deactivated 6am Tuesday.
NGCP, however, said it is “ready to organize a similar task force to ensure reliable power transmission services during crucial national events such as elections.”
“The corporation continues to conduct regular maintenance activities and expansion projects to enhance the quality of electricity delivered to customers and the public,” it added.
