CAIRO, (PNA/Itar-Tass) — One dead, over 40 injured after an explosion in Western Syria. Al-Mayadeen television has reported that the terrorist act happened in Homs, a city 160 kilometers from Damascus.
According to preliminary information, a car bomb went off in a district with dense Alawite population. Syria’s President Bashar Al-Assad belongs to the Alawite community.
The district has been cordoned off by the police, investigation is underway.
Previosuly it was reported that eesidential districts of Damascus and Aleppo were shelled, leaving 13 dead and dozens injured.
