MANILA, (PNA) –The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), on its 6:00 a.m. update on Friday, announced the death toll for the magnitude 7.2 earthquake that struck Central Visayas last Oct. 15 has reached 201.
Earthquake related fatalities for Bohol was placed at 187, Cebu at 13 and Siquijor with one.
Injured was placed at 720 people and this can be broken down into 626 for Bohol, 89 for Cebu, 3 for Siquijor and one each for Iloilo and Negros Oriental.
Ten people are still missing in Bohol, the NDRRMC reported.
A total of 631,605 families (around 3,158,869 people) were affected in 1,494 barangays in 59 municipalities and six cities in six provinces in Region VI and VII.
