ZAMBOANGA CITY, (PNA) -– The police are conducting an in-depth investigation to unmask the seven gunmen who snatched a businessman in the province of Sulu, a police official disclosed Wednesday.
Sulu police information officer Senior Insp. Kris Conrad Gutierrez said the incident took place around 5 p.m. Tuesday in Barangay Gandasuli, Patikul, Sulu.
Gutierrez identified the victim as Archie Hablo, 29, the owner of the Sincere Enterprises in Jolo, the capital town of Sulu.
Gutierrez said Hablo was on board a motorcycle together with his brother, Miko, on their way home when the gunmen aboard a black jeep waylaid them.
He said that Hablo’s brother managed to escape from the clutches of the gunmen.
He said the suspects sped off to an unknown direction bringing with them Hablo.
Gutierrez said the police are exerting efforts to identify the suspects as well as locate the victim’s whereabouts for his possible rescue.
