MANILA, (PNA) — Light rains expected over Northern and eastern sections of Luzon due to northeast monsoon or “hangin amihan”, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Saturday.
PAGASA said no cyclone was expected over the country, though Metro Manila could expect “isolated” rain showers or thunderstorms while the temperature in Metro Manila will range between 21-30 degrees Celsius for Saturday.
In its advisory, PAGASA said the regions of Ilocos, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley, Bicol and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon will experience cloudy skies with scattered light rains.
It added that Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains while the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.
PAGASA also said that moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough.
Winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast to north will prevail over Visayas and coming from the north to northwest over Mindanao with slight to moderate seas.
