MANILA, (PNA) — The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), on its Saturday update, revealed that the death toll for the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that struck Central Visayas has now climbed to 175.
This can be broken down into 162 for Bohol, 12 for Cebu and 1 for Siquijor.
Quake related injuries was placed at 487 and this can be divided into: Bohol, 393; Cebu, 89; Siquijor, 3; Iloilo, 1; and Negros Oriental, 1.
The NDRRMC also revealed that 17 persons are still missing and they are from the towns of Loon, 11; Sagbayan, 5, and Clarin, 1, all in Bohol.
It added that the tremor has affected and displaced 695,466 families (equivalent to 3,492,496 persons) in six provinces of Regions 6 and 7.
